jus' chillin' - illustration

I designed this piece in conjunction with a creative brief from Central 23 to illustrate a greetings card illustration to fit into their 'Originals' collection - consisting of: cute animals, puns + softer playful illustrations to suit the aesthetic of the message on the card itself.

A few variations of the illustration before finalising the design.

I wanted to keep the mellow use of pastel pinks and creamy shades of beige within the overall style of the piece, which I decided carried consistency within the type as well as the subject to offset the brighter background colour.
